Kites
Kite flying is a wonderful outdoor activity on a windy day. To fly them, you’ll need somewhere high up and in the open - with no trees! Try Ashton Court, Blaise Castle, the Observatory on Clifton Downs, Eastville Park, any beach on a windy day.
Even better, build your own kite first. Kite-maker Nick James offers workshops in kite-making including the history of kites, how they are made and how they fly. He is very experienced in working with children of all ages.
